ELIGIBILITY QUESTIONS
Who is eligible to participate?

Eligible farmers are ages 18 to 64 who live or work in Wisconsin and are actively working in agricultural production (whereby at least 66 percent of income is derived from farming). 'Actively working' is defined as working a minimum of 30 hours per week on a regular basis, and not working in agricultural production on a temporary (less than six months) or substitute basis.

Adults enrolled in the cooperative must participate in a free personal Health Risk Assessment as part of the program.

Eligible agribusinesses must be a business enterprise providing direct services to production agriculture in Wisconsin, and directly related to the production of food, feed or fiber. Eligibility is subject to approval by the cooperative.

Who is a qualified dependent?

Unmarried, dependent children of co-op members are covered until they reach age 27 if they are at least 50% financially dependent upon their parent.
Am I eligible to enroll if I am over 65 years old?

No, this health insurance is only available to farmers who are between 18 and 64 years old (unless you work for an agribusiness).
